About Me

Amy Chapman
My name is Mrs. Chapman, and I am in my 16th year at Samohi. This year, I am teaching English 11AP, Folktales & Mythology, and I am the teacher leader for the S-House as well. I teach because I love literature, I love writing, and most importantly, I love people. I strive to make my classroom an environment where students feel supported, engaged, and free to take risks. I hope that my passions for literature and writing are evident and contagious. It is my goal that students will leave my classroom as stronger readers, writers, and critical thinkers, and most importantly, as more confident students and people.
